My name is Miro Bartanus,
I am experienced software architect, consultant,
project manager and managing director at
Dynatech Ltd.,
company focused on development software and web applications.
I live and work in
Bratislava,
the capital of
Slovakia.
I started make photos from a child, when I shot with Russian Smena 8M and
developed in darkroom from mother's bathroom.
It started to be more fun on a high school, where I get in touch to SLR cameras
in school's photoclub.
We shot BW on Foma, Orwo and sometimes on Agfa material.
I completly skip colour film and after a pause I bought quite cute toy, 3Mpx HP PhotoSmart 735.
Although it was not so powerful camera for other but family photos,
I recalled my hobby and started to approach photography more seriously.
I read a couple of nice
books
and the breakthrough occured when I purchased
Nikon D70s.
After while I found, that my harddisk is accumulatig more and more photos,
that I'd like to show to somebody, discuss about them with someone or
hear some criticism about them.
I was quite surprised, when I found that there are lot of similar individuals
in my "internet neighbourhood" and they publish unexpectly good photos on various
photo community servers.
I engaged too, and after I tried more servers I decided to develop my own page.
I found pre-cooked
system
that I customized to my needs.
And this is the system you are just looking at :)
I am shooting to RAW only since 2006.
Postprocessig and archiving is done on PC.
RAW development is truly "darkroom" of these times.
Without verified digital workflow one can spend considerable amount of time with tedious adjustement of posprocessing values.

This is just "warehouse" of interesting urls, more or less randomly found by me during surfing net.
They are almost unsorted and uncommented.
May be I will find a spare time sometimes...
Here I collect links to photoblogs that I am regulary visiting,
to websites I exchanged links with or flogs that somehow captured me.
If yu've got a photoblog too and want to list it here,
contact
me and send me your link.
This photoblog is based of open source gpl system pixelpost.org.
During my customization I tweaked it so much that it is hardly compatible with original codebase now.
Here are some notes for those who are interested.
